Dr. Staubs was born in Florida but raised in Ohio. He attended Ohio State University for his undergraduate studies, where he played college football and was named an Academic All-American.
After that, Dr. Staubs attended Chiropractor College at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he graduated with honors before moving to St Petersburg, FL, and opening up his practice. Dr. Staubs is the clinical director of Suncoast Integrative Healthcare. He has extensive experience in caring for spinal related issues. These range from trauma-related cases as a result of accidents and sports injuries to scoliosis. This, accompanied with his comprehensive post-doctoral education, allows Dr. Staubs to treat both the simple and complicated cases.
Dr. Staubs is certified by the Academy of Chiropractic, Federation of Chiropractic licensing board, by having attained post-doctoral education in MRI spine interpretation, electrodiagnostic interpretation, triaging the injured, caring for the trauma patient, and crash dynamics.
Dr. Staubs is a member of the Academy of Chiropractic and the American Academy of Medical Legal Professionals. These are national medical research organizations that provide the latest research on diagnosing and treating spinal-related conditions. This allows Dr. Staubs to offer the latest techniques based upon peer-reviewed research when caring for his patients, while also drawing from 6 years of practice experience.
Dr. Staubs is supported by a caring, highly trained staff dedicated to meeting the needs of their patients in processing insurance, legal, or work-related documentation.
Dr. Staubs has been recognized by the Academy of Chiropractic as a clinician of excellence. He is also actively involved in the community as a volunteer with the Ronald McDonald house and make3 cares.
Robert A. Epstein, D.C. grew up in Seminole and graduated from Shorecrest High School and attended The University of Arizona to play football. After graduating in 1991, he decided to follow his father’s footsteps (Pediatrician for 35 years) and become a healthcare provider. He graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1995 from Life College in Marietta, GA.
In 1996, Dr. Epstein opened A Return To Health Chiropractic, PC, in Buford, GA. He practiced there for 14 years before returning to Pinellas County in 2010 to practice. He has worked in several offices around the county before joining Dr. Colby Staubs at his St Petersburg practice in April of 2018.
While in Georgia, he treated many professional athletes from the Atlanta Thrashers, Atlanta Falcons, and several other minor league sports. He also was highly involved in many of the High School athletic programs in the North Georgia area. He served as one of the chiropractors for the Gwinnett Gladiators hockey team (professional minor league) in 2008 and 2009.
Dr. Epstein has been married to Christi for over 23 years and has 2 grown children.
His many interests include running, cycling, ice hockey, “Jeeping” and traveling with his wife.
Dr. Epstein’s goal is to educate our society that there are safe and effective alternatives to drugs and surgery. He strongly believes in the effectiveness of allowing the body to heal from within out.
He loves what he does, and it shows in his patient care.
Michelle began her career in Baltimore, MD in 1985, graduating with an associate degree in nursing. The cold winter climate brought her to Clearwater, FL, in 1988, where she spent the next 14 years at the bedside at Morton Plant Hospital, working the CCU, ICU, and ER.
In 1999 Michelle obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tampa and went on to pursue higher education, graduating with her master’s degree in 2005 from the University of Phoenix in nursing education.
She enjoyed the next 7 years working as a nursing instructor at St. Petersburg College developing a passion for integrative health care.
Michelle then returned to the University of Tampa and received her second master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner in 2011. The next several years were spent working in Primary care. She joined Suncoast Integrative Healthcare in September of 2018. Michelle believes in offering patients alternative treatment modalities to improve health and quality of life.
